i lost my cell phone. Yep, it happened again, i lost it. Don’t know where it is. The truth is… it’s not the first time. i am a veteran at losing, crushing, maiming, destroying, hydroplodeing, and incinerating cell phones. Ok ‘hydroplodeing’ isn’t a word, but you get the picture. This is not new to me in the least bit. It’s happened many a time. i find that every time this happens, several things occur regularly.
Everyone needs to know right where it was last. Everyone needs to tell me how ill-fated i am, and how unfortunate my circumstances are, in their own way. Neither of these are my favorite effect of the lost cell phone.
A lot of people get riled up when trying to call me. Of course they didn’t know, and don’t know, that i lost it. By riled up i mean frustrated, even angry. Their response is directly proportionate to the surrounding circumstances of pre-lost-phone, combined with the circumstances of the reason they needed to call me.
They have this anger or frustration because they think i can’t hear, or they think i am ignoring them, or whatever. They just don’t know what’s really going on. In our day and age, people here in the USA have the mentality that ‘everyone needs to be at my beckon. Or at their least, MY CALL.’
It’s a shame, because people often act the same way in relation to hearing a word from God.
People pray and pray and pray…and then pray some more. Sometimes people think, ‘Wow, for being a “friend that sticks closer than a brother” this God guy really has a problem with returning missed calls.’ People sometimes assume God has a problem because they aren’t hearing his voice.
The truth is….people don’t always get the picture. People can’t always see what God is doing around them, through them, and with them to help answer their prayers. People can’t see always what’s ahead of them in the future, what God has in store. Let’s be honest, people don’t always know the mind of God. People sit around, making one way phone calls expecting two way conversation without real action and getting upset when they don’t hear anything. What i have found is that God loves to see ACTION. He loves it when people take His matters into their hands and work alongside Him to finish them.
Sometimes i get that person who actually cares that they can’t reach me. In fact, they care so much that they try another number i might be at. They might even try peoples’ numbers around me, who i hang with. They’ll ask those people if they know what’s up. Sometimes, yes even sometimes, somebody tries to physically track me down.
The truth is…when you can’t hear God there is nothing wrong with Him. That doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with you either, so don’t jump to that conclusion!
Have you tried other talking about your issue with other people who talk to God regularly? Have you tried the ones who might know more of what is going on because they hang around God a lot?

If not, i encourage you to.
Sometimes when people are asking God to do something they wait for him to respond, reactively. The problem is, God sometimes is waiting to see you do something proactively before he starts working. A lot of those times, He wants you to do something, so He can work through you. He could be waiting for your move to track down the solution to your prayer physically in conjunction with faith, so He can move spiritually.
When you are seeking God and wish for His will to be done in your life and when all you want is to do what he wants, any right choice you make is the right choice.
FACT: When you are tuned to his will, and you act, he moves through you.
Inaction is JUNK. Don’t be afraid to do something for God just because you never heard if it was cool or not. God Loves when people with his ideals in mind ACT on right choices. Don’t worry about thwarting God’s will when all you want is His will and all you strive for is reflecting Him toward others and all your focuses are on Him!

i lost my phone, i cant talk to some people when they want to talk to me. Sorry.
God never loses his phone. God always has reception. God is always listening. God always cares. God's line is always open. God always loves.
( P.S. i was drafting this blog, and just as i typed some finishing touches on it, security returned my phone to me. PRAISE GOD! )
